Winter Session — Courses

Winter Session courses are offered completely online, and courses are delivered through Canvas, WSU’s learning management system. You may register for only one Winter Session course, and it cannot be your first course taken at WSU.

Winter Session courses are either three or six weeks long—but you’ll have access to your Canvas course space six weeks before the course begins. When your course space becomes available, plan to review the syllabus and schedule and take the time to familiarize yourself with the online course environment. Make sure that you have all the required books and materials and complete any recommended introductory readings or activities if applicable. Working ahead or submitting assignments before the official start date is not allowed. You can access your course spaces through Canvas.

Registering for Winter Session

Find the course you are interested in on the list below and note its class number (for example, the class number for ANTH 331 is 10675), then register through myWSU. Step-by-step instructions on how to register can be found on the Winter Session Registration page.

Six-Week Courses

The six-week Winter Session courses begin on Monday, November 24, 2025, and end on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Course spaces in Canvas are scheduled to open six weeks prior to the first day of the session.
