Organic Chemistry FAQ
CHEM 345 is offered as a hybrid course through WSU Global Campus. Lecture work is completed 100% asynchronously online, while lab work takes place in person on the WSU Pullman campus. Students must complete the face-to-face component and need to plan accordingly to be in Pullman on the scheduled days.
Course Questions
The learning objectives are the same for this course as any other Organic Chemistry course offered at WSU. The only difference is the way the content is delivered. You will be able to do the lecture portion of the course 100% online and finish all your lab work in a compressed time frame on the Pullman campus. This course will fulfill any CHEM 345 requirements in your degree program.
All students who wish to complete Organic Chemistry through Global Campus must commit to participating in the labs from Monday, June 23rd – Friday, June 27th on the Pullman campus. The labs will take place in Fullmer Hall.
Global Campus works with Housing & Dining Services to provide housing options for single rooms at McEachern Hall at WSU Pullman. Housing is $203.75 for the five-night stay, which will be posted to your student account for payment a week before the lab.
There are also a number of hotels that can be booked independently.
Parking on campus does require a parking permit. Please visit WSU Parking and transportation services to review what options are available for you to park on campus. For your parking consideration, housing will be in McEachern Hall and chem labs in Fulmer Hall.
Please contact WSU Student Accommodations & Disability Resources your accommodation needs for the course. You will want to ensure that Student Accommodations & Disability Resources is aware that this course has both an online and in person component.
Let Student Accommodations & Disability Resources know that your course accommodations are to support your attendance at the one week, in-person lab section of the CHEM 345 course in Fullmer Hall offered by Global Campus.
